Made to Measure
A suit that fits only you — crafted from start to finish with your fitter by your side.
At Zac Mens, every made-to-measure garment begins with a conversation. We take the time to understand your style, your occasion and your body — then build a suit around you. Below is a full guide to our process, from your first appointment through to aftercare.
Consultation
The initial appointment allows the client to select his or her preferred cloth from our collection. We carry over 2,000 luxury fabrics with a collection boasting of world class materials from Dormeuil, Cavani, Luciano and Ermenegildo Zegna.
Upon choosing the fabric, the specific style of lapel, buttons, trimmings and fit — the client will then be measured by one of our fitters.
First Fitting
This is when you get to try on the suit for the first time. The garment will be closer to what you might expect to see, and together with your fitter you are able to make alterations — such as loosening the waist or shortening the pants.
Adjustments are made to the suit, the suit is dry cleaned and pressed, and a second fitting is planned.
Final Fitting
The final fitting generally consists of trying on the suit one final time in its complete form and making sure you are 100% satisfied with the final outcome.
Together with your fitter you will be styled with a complimentary pocket square and tie to suit your occasion.
After Care
Shirting
- Before washing, undo all buttons and remove the collar stands to avoid damage.
- Wash your shirts individually in cold water.
- Do not tumble dry — allow them to drip dry on a clothesline.
- For immaculate results, iron your shirt whilst slightly damp.
Suits
- Dry clean only.
- Dry cleaning chemicals can be damaging to wool fibres — limit cleaning to once a season or only when visibly soiled.
- Always store your garment in a well-ventilated area.
Our Ongoing Relationship
Our relationship doesn't stop at the final fitting. We also offer dry cleaning services for your custom made garments to be refreshed every season.
We love what we do — so we are happy to alter your garments further down the track if you want to change the fit, at an additional cost. Alterations can be done also on garments from other stores.
